Sam's Gone
Today I gave my rat Sam away to my friend Dave. Sam was an 8 week old butterscotch rat whome I purchased at a pet store under the false information provided my the salesperson that he was a girl. Like 3 days after I had Sam at my appartment, I noticed that Sam was growing what appeared to be testicles.
The problem wasn't so much that Sam was a male, as that I was looking for a female. Luckely, my frined Dave had previously had a male rat (Scabbers) who passed away recently. Dave told me that he would gladly accept Sam as an addition to his household.
It was kind of a sad day for me because over the last 3 weeks I've gotten really attatched to Sam. I know it sounds stupid, but that little rodent really won my heart. Despite this, I can rest comfortably in the knowledge that Dave is a responsible pet owner. I'm sure that Dave will grow to like Sam just as much as I have and even more.
